Sign IPAs on your iPhone or iPad

Import your Apple developer certificate, resign IPAs on the device, and install them over your local network. Normal use does not upload your .p12 anywhere. The web installer is a one-time bootstrap for DefianceSign itself.

On install.html you upload your certificate once. The server signs only DefianceSign.ipa to match your profile, then deletes your files.

What it is

On-device signing

After the first install, certificates and signed IPAs stay on your phone or iPad. There is no DefianceSign account or shared signing pool.

Web install is one-time

The bootstrap page needs your .p12 because DefianceSign cannot sign itself before it is installed. Everything else you sign locally in the app.

Profiles and App IDs

Use an iOS Development or Ad Hoc profile with your device UDID. The web installer re-signs DefianceSign to the App ID in your profile.

7-day dev certs

Free Apple developer certificates expire weekly. Re-run the web installer or Sideloadly when the app stops opening.

Getting started

Install DefianceSign

Web installer (Safari), Sideloadly, ESign, SideStore, or any tool you already use with your developer certificate.

Import certificate

In the app: Settings → Certificates → import the same .p12 and .mobileprovision you use for sideloading.

Sign an IPA

Add an app, tap Sign, then Install. Trust the developer profile under Settings → General → VPN & Device Management if iOS asks.
